Viskaforsskolan is located along the beautiful river Viskan, south of Borås. The school consists of three buildings spread over a large school area. The area is surrounded by forest and a scenic environment with an adjacent sports field. The schoolyard includes a swimming pool, sports halls, and activity areas. The school has access to a library and youth center in nearby facilities.

Viskaforsskolan is characterized by a warm and generous atmosphere. The school has just over 300 students. The staff enjoys their workplace and has good collaboration. Viskaforsskolan works from an F-9 perspective, focusing on the students' entire school journey. The school has good cooperation with parents and nearby functions. The school is two-parallel, divided into stages with organized working teams based on the grades F-class, 1-3, 4-6, and 7-9. Students have access to an after-school program divided into three departments from F-class to grade 5. Viskaforsskolan also includes student health with a special educator, school nurse, psychologist, and counselor.

Job Responsibilities

As an after-school teacher, you are responsible for the teaching in the after-school program by contributing to the realization of the curriculum's goals and intentions in the operation. Your main task is after-school activities with class collaboration during the school day. You are involved in driving the work towards a full-day perspective, creating a red thread between the student's school day and the after-school program's activities.

With engaged interest in after-school pedagogy and learning, you design meaningful, accessible, and inspiring teaching based on the students' interests and needs.

You see collegial learning as a natural part of your mission and work. You understand the importance of good cooperation and relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed teacher with qualifications for after-school care and preferably for sports and health, music, or art for the lower grades of primary school. Experience in qualified work in after-school activities or similar is an advantage.

Since the work involves systematic quality work in the form of planning, evaluation, and follow-up, we see that you have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

As a person, you have good collaboration skills, are stable, flexible, and engaged. You are proactive and work with good structure. You are curious about students' voices and perspectives.
