JENSEN Gymnasium is a theoretical high school located centrally at Kungsportsplatsen with a view of Trädgårdsföreningen. We offer Natural Science, Technology, Social Science, and Business programs. The school is characterized by joy, ambition, focus, and a drive for development. We are a team of dedicated teachers and school leaders who are now looking for two new committed colleagues!

JENSEN Gothenburg is an accredited Erasmus+ school, and we have many collaborations with other schools within the EU that we travel to, but also receive visitors from.

Education and Reading

Training for reality and education is the goal, and is the common thread in how we educate our students. We place great emphasis on literature, reading, and writing in our teaching. Our classes have a reading plan for how many and which books should be read during a school year. We see reading and writing as tools to help our students achieve a high level of knowledge and develop their thinking - to think freely and think big - that is education for us! We hope you share our vision of reading and writing students. Within the programs, teachers collaborate to connect their subjects closely to the program goals and various projects during each grade.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for someone who is a qualified high school teacher in Swedish or English in combination with Italian and/or French. You are very knowledgeable in your subjects and driven to teach them to others. As a person, like us, you have a strong commitment to development and take great personal responsibility when it comes to students' goal fulfillment. You thrive in a team-oriented work environment. You are structured, driven, and enjoy being a clear leader in the classroom while creating good relationships with our students. Since we have a clear health profile, you are likely on the same track.

Employment Form

We are looking for one full-time person and one part-time person starting on 7/8 or by agreement. For this position, we apply a holiday service and a six-month probationary period.

Selection is ongoing, so we would like to have your application as soon as possible, but no later than 25/4.

According to the law (2000:873) within high school, you must present an extract from the criminal record. The extract is made via polisen.se with digital BankID. If you do not have BankID, you can order the form home; please do this as soon as possible as manual handling of the form takes a long time.

The first step in our recruitment process is to complete two psychological tests. Test links will be sent by email immediately after your application is submitted, and you will receive feedback on the tests right after you have completed them.
