The Gothenburg School Administration is one of the largest school administrations in Sweden. We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool to grade nine, adapted primary school, culture school, and after-school care. In the administration, there are 138 municipal primary schools where almost 47,000 students attend school every day. The entire administration has about 9,700 employees who work together to develop and take care of the operations - together we pave the way for the school of the future.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a craft teacher for the South-West school area 20. The position is a temporary one and will last for the next school year.

The South-West school area 20 includes two F-6 schools, which have classes in the same school building.

As a craft teacher, you will join our wonderful teaching teams and teach students in craft subjects. You will be responsible for crafts at two schools, and if you have certification in other subjects, teaching in those may also be included. The position may also involve being a playground supervisor and a resource in other classes.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a certified craft teacher. It is advantageous for the position if you have craft teacher training with a focus on both soft and hard materials. Previous teaching experience is also an advantage.

The position requires that you are well acquainted with the school's mission and governing documents and can implement these in practice together with students and other educators. The position also requires that you have good digital competence.

We expect you to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

As a person, you place great importance on building relationships with students to harness their curiosity, imagination, and drive. You have the ability to start from each student's needs and conditions and are a clear leader and an adult role model.

You find it easy to collaborate, build relationships, and be clear in dialogue with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are positive and see opportunities and solutions instead of obstacles. You contribute to the school's development and to the overall operation.

You must be able to present a valid CV and provide references at the latest during a possible interview.
