At Munkegärdeskolan, all of our approximately 420 students are at the center.

We work based on our vision words: curiosity, respect, care, responsibility, and understanding. We strive for a good working climate that stimulates students' motivation, responsibility, and desire to learn.

Our school is a grades 7-9 school with a staff group of about 42 people, of which approximately 30 are teachers. We have a complete student health team consisting of school management, special educators, counselors, school nurses, and school psychologists. The school's career counselor assists the student health team and guides students in their future choices. Our students should be given opportunities to develop their best selves and gain good knowledge to feel secure about the future. One of our focus areas is higher goal fulfillment, which we work on through clearer systematization and analysis for teaching based on scientific grounds and proven experience. We systematically work for the teams to collaborate around mentorship, planning, assessment, evaluation, and analysis of results as our central components.

Job Responsibilities

As a special educator or teacher in math/science/technology, you will work closely with our students and teachers with a primary assignment in our smaller teaching group. We work to provide students with strategies and support to succeed in their learning and knowledge acquisition. You will work with students in need of extra support to help them manage their school days and learning.

The school strives for a cooperative working method with an accessible learning environment where teaching, digitalization, and language and knowledge development strategies are an important part. We work for a non-prestigious work culture where we help each other, and the goal is that every student leaving Munkegärdeskolan should have a solid foundation for continued learning and a good life.

The position is a parental substitute for the school year 2025/2026.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a licensed special educator with a focus on mathematics or a licensed teacher with qualifications in mathematics, science, and technology for grades 7-9. It is an advantage if you have experience teaching students with different backgrounds and NPF issues. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and values, which permeate your daily work. In collaboration with your colleagues, we expect you to have clear communication and a collegial working method.

Furthermore, you have good pedagogical skills and can help lead and organize the school's work to create a peaceful study environment and a good learning environment for all our students during their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you are part of developing the school's teaching and driving the research and development work that the school has started and is working on. We all actively work to develop AllStudentHealth and include trauma-informed care (TMO).
