Description

Naturbruksskolan Svenljunga is located on the outskirts of the Svenljunga community, close to nature, forest, and land, and only thirty kilometers from Borås.

Here, tomorrow's workforce is trained in two expanding industries - forestry and nature tourism. The school offers the Nature Management Program at the high school level, vocational college, and adult education. We are a resource-rich school with over one hundred fifty students in high school, with dedicated staff, short decision-making paths, and great opportunities for influence. Our goal is to be at the forefront, and we were the first nature school in southern Sweden certified as a Teknikcollege.

We are now looking for a special educator or special teacher to our school who wants to help develop our operations!

Responsibilities

As a special educator/special teacher, you collaborate with teachers in identifying students' needs. You conduct and follow up assessments, investigations, and the development of action plans. You have a coordinating role in the work around extra adaptations and special support. Guiding conversations with staff and communication with guardians are important tasks. You create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have a holistic view of the student's learning and abilities and an interest in actively participating in the development work at the school.

The special educator/special teacher is part of the student health team at the school together with the school counselor, study and career counselor, and school nurse. In our administration, student health is prioritized highly. We are a small resource-rich school with great freedom in the work, and here you get the chance to make a real difference.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed special educator/special teacher or is in training. You have good insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents and have a good ability to translate these into practical daily work. You work on behalf of the principal but are expected to be independent and take responsibility for the processes you drive.

We are looking for someone who has an approach based on meeting the student where they are academically and trying to find methods to take the student as far as possible. You need to have the necessary insights into the laws and regulations that apply to the school system.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. A B driver's license for manual transmission is a requirement.

Conditions

Permanent employment with 100% employment rate, vacation service. Place of employment is Svenljunga. Work may occur in all forms of education within the Nature Management Administration. Start date in August 2025.
