Valåsskolan is a well-functioning school with experienced and skilled educators in preschool class, primary school, and after-school care. Here, there are many happy children and engaged parents.

Valåsskolan is a F-3 school with after-school care for F-6 as students from the nearby Almåsskolan come to us in the afternoon.

The number of students at Valåsskolan will increase for the next school year, and therefore we need to strengthen our staffing. We are looking for you who want to take the opportunity to join the competent team and accompany us on our development journey. Next school year, 170 students will attend Valåsskolan, and we are about 25 people who work and enjoy working together.

Valåsskolan is located about a 5-minute walk from Lindome Centrum. The commuter train from Lindome runs frequently, taking 18 minutes to Gothenburg Central Station and 9 minutes to Kungsbacka Station.

This year's focus areas are to develop collaboration between after-school care and the school to ensure each child's safety and learning throughout the day. We will also continue to develop our work with lesson design and differentiated teaching to create accessible learning environments for every student. In addition, we focus on sharpening our assessment competence through collegial learning and co-assessment. Our operations are characterized by active breaks with organized activities every break, and we often visit our nearby School Forest. Valåsskolan has age-homogeneous teaching, where next year there will be three groups in preschool class, one parallel in grade 1 and grade 2, and two classes in grade 3. We view Valåsskolan as a smaller unit, which allows for large gatherings where the entire school comes together to celebrate and acknowledge various days throughout the year.

The work teams (teachers and after-school staff) are led by team leaders and meet in the team every week. The focus is on both operational issues and, above all, development. They work both in mixed-age and age-homogeneous groups.

At Valåsskolan, there is a clear co-creation, and the development work is carried out by and together with the team and the colleagues based on the development areas that the teams have been involved in developing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for another team player for our lovely little school.

Your main task is to plan and teach in class based on the applicable curriculum and syllabus, with a focus on students' learning.

You work inclusively and in close collaboration with all competencies at the school.

You will be part of the F-3 team where you share experiences, skills, ideas, and joy of work. We place great importance on personal suitability.

This year you will work in preschool class, closely collaborating with the team. In addition, depending on qualifications, needs, and competencies, this may involve some time in after-school care. This year, the position will be a vacation position as there is no vacation position in preschool class in Mölndal. Next year, there may be an opportunity for another agreement, depending on staffing planning and needs.
