Your Mission

The position(s) is a permanent employment starting in August 2025. You will teach and mentor our students in Swedish/English and/or Physical Education. Together with other colleagues, you will be part of a team consisting of subject teachers and vocational teachers. We see you as an important and driving force to develop both the program and the subject with students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to subject-specific tasks, like other teachers at the school, you will have responsibilities such as mentoring, and together with your colleagues, you will coach students both socially and academically throughout their three years at Alingsås Vocational High School.

Alingsås Vocational High School offers the most relevant vocational training programs. The industries we train in are crying out for staff, and we contribute to educating the workforce of the future.

About the School

Alingsås Vocational High School is a growing school and is therefore looking forward to welcoming more colleagues. We offer students a concept where theory is combined with practical exercises both in school and at workplaces. At Alingsås Vocational High School, we set high standards for ourselves to create the best conditions for an educational and enjoyable training experience. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, closeness, and practical learning. Our program offerings consist of three different programs: hairdressing, automotive, and transport. Here, there are over 90 students enrolled in vocational programs. Here you will teach a wonderful mix of students with a lot of creativity. We work closely together between vocational and common core courses, which fosters significant collegial collaboration.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed upper secondary school teacher in Swedish/English and/or Physical Education. Additional subjects/courses are an advantage. We place great importance on personal qualities. We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, and that you identify with our values and guiding principles. Our students are eager to enter the workforce, and your main task is to guide them there!
