The Gothenburg Primary School Administration is one of the largest school administrations in Sweden. We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool class to grade nine, adapted primary school, culture school, and after-school care. The administration has 138 municipal primary schools where nearly 47,000 students attend school every day. The entire administration has about 9,700 employees who work together to develop and take care of the operation - together we pave the way for the school of the future.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Kärraskolan is a school for everyone - where joy and knowledge are at the center. The school is a F-9 school located in central Kärra. About 850 students aged 6-16 attend our school, divided into three units and seven after-school departments, as well as an adapted primary school. Our goal is for Kärraskolan to be a school where students, staff, and parents thrive and share a common responsibility for creating good conditions for learning.

We are now looking for a teacher for upper secondary education. Kärraskolan is a large school with about 100 employees, and you will have several colleagues in your subjects with whom you will collaborate closely. In addition, you will be part of a work team where you will be a mentor for students.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher and qualified to teach home economics in combination with one or more subjects for upper secondary education.

We would also like you to have experience working with children with special needs and that you have the ability to meet these students in a way that benefits their development both in and outside the classroom.

We are looking for someone who is pedagogical, where you gain energy from contributing to others' learning and creating conditions for learning to occur. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. You are also collaborative, understanding the common mission, acting accordingly, and contributing to the whole. Furthermore, you are flexible and easily adapt your working methods based on changed conditions and new information. You are also creative and contribute new ideas and perspectives in work-related issues and in situations that need to be resolved. Being structured is also important, where you establish clear goals and plan activities and projects in good time.
