The after-school activities are an important part of students' development and learning. To support the development work and create opportunities for increased quality, we are now choosing to appoint a development teacher within the after-school program. Alongside the regular position at the after-school program, the development teacher will have a targeted mission to lead the school's systematic development work within the after-school activities in collaboration with and at the request of the school management. Welcome to Bergdalsskolan F-6 with approximately 340 students, where we work every day to give our students a sense of future. Here, the student's self-esteem and safety are the foundation for learning, and we strive for every student to feel seen, heard, and supported in their development. Development Teacher within After-School Program at Bergdalsskolan F-6

Job Responsibilities

As a development teacher, you will have a targeted mission that involves leading the school's development work within the after-school program together with the school management.

• You show commitment and a genuine interest in working in after-school activities and drive collegial collaboration around development processes within the assignment for the after-school program.
• You will work with the school's management to analyze, implement, and follow up on quality development related to after-school activities. Collaboration with the school's other development groups is part of the assignment. Through collaboration between school and after-school activities, conditions for students' learning are created.
• You contribute to spreading experiences within the school and between schools, as well as sharing research and scientific theories with colleagues in a collegial professional learning environment.
• You adopt a learning perspective and create good relationships with all students and colleagues where positive expectations are a natural part.
• As a development teacher, you are expected to inspire and be a good ambassador for the profession.

In addition to the targeted mission as a development teacher, you and your colleagues will be responsible for the operations of the school's after-school program, where you offer meaningful recreational activities based on students' needs, interests, and experiences. As part of your assignment, you and your colleagues will take turns being responsible for break activities. By offering a varied selection of play and movement, we create an active and inclusive environment where students have the opportunity to develop their joy of movement and creativity.

Qualifications

For the position of development teacher, you must be able to present a teaching license with a focus on after-school programs or leisure pedagogy. You must also demonstrate four years of well-documented work experience in after-school programs. The majority of that time should have been in after-school activities with a valid license.
