The Learning Sector focuses on a holistic perspective from ages 0 to 19, and together we create an inspiring culture of collaboration within the education sector, where language, attendance, and goal fulfillment are our primary driving forces for success.

The Adapted School belongs to the Tingsholm school area and includes activities at both primary, secondary, and adult levels. The Adapted School in Ulricehamn municipality provides students with intellectual disabilities an education tailored to each student's individual conditions. The curriculum of the adapted primary school is divided into subjects and follows the structure of primary school. There is also an additional curriculum divided into five subject areas: aesthetic activities, motor skills, communication, daily activities, and perception of reality.

The Adapted School is in an exciting development phase where the schools participate in a three-year research program focusing on the knowledge assignment of the adapted school. In the collegial collaboration, we create challenges and development. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your task is to teach students in the subjects and subject areas of the adapted primary school. You plan and implement teaching based on each student's ability, create good conditions for learning, and stimulate and challenge students' development and learning.

As one of the educators within the adapted primary school, you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for providing students with the pedagogical and social support they need. This may mean that you, as a teacher, also perform certain tasks that usually fall to a teaching assistant.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed special teacher with a focus on intellectual disabilities and has work experience within adapted schools as well as other school forms. It is of great importance that you have knowledge and experience working with students with autism in a low-arousal manner. A qualification in Studio 3 or similar is preferred.

It is advantageous if you have knowledge of sign language and alternative communication (AAC) as well as good skills in handling digital aids.

You are a pedagogical leader who works from a structured approach, is flexible, and has good collaboration skills. You have a strong ability to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. To fit the role, you need to be secure and stable even in stressful situations. You have a positive attitude in challenging situations and are solution-focused.

Clear communication and a calm demeanor are important, as is your strong empathetic ability.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
