The industries we educate in are crying out for trained personnel, and we contribute by educating the workforce of the future. About the school

Praktiska Gymnasiet Borås offers students a concept where theory is combined with practical moments both inside the school and out in workplaces. At Praktiska, we set high standards for ourselves to create the best conditions for an educational experience. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings consist of: FT, RL, EE, and BA programs. Currently, the school has about 140 students and 22 staff members.

The school will move during the academic year 2025/26 to completely new premises in top modern execution with, for example, its own fully equipped workshops in Knalleland. We also have our own kitchen where all food is prepared from scratch. Students in grades 2 and 3 can become apprentices.

Praktiska Gymnasiet is the largest in Sweden within upper secondary vocational education. Your mission

The position is a permanent employment at 100% starting in August -25. You will teach students in the FT program.

We see you as an important and driving force to develop both teaching and the subject, with students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to vocational-specific tasks, you, like other teachers at the school, have the task of coaching students both socially and academically.

We primarily communicate through Schoolsoft and work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and planning. This applies to both students and colleagues.

Your profile

First and foremost, we are looking for a certified teacher. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs. Your AMBITION is to reach every student with your pedagogy, with high expectations of yourself. With the help of your STRENGTH, you stand up for values such as sustainability, diversity, and gender equality and inspire your students. Through your PASSION, you inspire and engage each student to develop as far as possible based on their own conditions. Our students are eager to enter the workforce, and your main task is to lead them there!
