Workplace Description

We are now looking for a teacher in textile crafts for Nossebro School F-6, a school unit with about 200 students, and Jonslund F-6 School with about 150 students.

We have deepened our knowledge of safety and study peace together with Hélène Jenvén, PhD in pedagogy, who has extensive experience in development work within the school system from preschool to high school. Our vision is that all students should become winners in their own lives according to their circumstances. The municipality has four schools: Bredöl F-6, Jonslund F-6, Nossebro F-6, and Nossebro 7-9.

Job Description

As a teacher in textile crafts in Essunga Municipality, you will play a central role in promoting creativity and practical skills among our students. In this position, you will be responsible for planning and conducting lessons in sewing, guiding students through various projects that encourage their imagination and innovation. You will work both independently and in teams, requiring strong collaboration skills and leadership to create an inspiring and educational environment.

Your tasks will include:

• Designing lessons and projects that promote students' creativity.
• Assessing students' work and providing constructive feedback.
• Working with various materials and techniques to develop students' craft skills.
• Collaborating with colleagues and other professionals to create a holistic view of education.
• Participating in the school's development work and contributing to a positive work climate.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher in textile crafts who wants to work with students in grades 2-6. We seek a creative, engaged, and knowledgeable textile crafts teacher for our curious and hardworking students at Nossebro and Jonslund schools.

• Self-driven: We are looking for a crafts teacher who can work independently and take initiative. You should be able to plan and conduct lesson arrangements without needing constant guidance and adapt teaching to students' needs and circumstances.
• Collaboration skills: It is important that you enjoy working in teams and collaborating with colleagues, students, and parents. You must be able to communicate effectively and share ideas and experiences to create an inspiring learning environment.
• Leadership style: You should have a natural ability to lead and motivate your students. Your leadership style should be inclusive and encouraging, so that every student feels seen and heard, allowing them to grow and develop in the subject of crafts.
• Structured teaching: We value a structured and clear teaching method. The ability to plan lessons and activities systematically, as well as document students' progress, are central requirements for this position.

Other

The permanent position is 70% with the possibility of full-time (in another subject) starting in the autumn term of 2025.
