The Nature Schools Svenljunga, Sötåsen, Uddetorp, and the Biological Vocational College serve as competence centers for the growth and development of the green industries. Together with the business community and researchers, the administration drives energy projects and cutting-edge experimental activities at the schools. Description

In the picturesque Sötåsen outside Töreboda, you will find a center for ecological and sustainable nature management.

Here, ecological farming is conducted on approximately 270 hectares, with KRAV-approved animal husbandry including 62 cows, about 40 sows, over 50 ewes, and organic gardening. You can study the Nature Management Program with a focus on agriculture, animals, and gardening. The school also offers an adapted high school and adult education programs. We run our own farm where students can develop and learn in a real environment. At Sötåsen, the next generation in the green industry is educated, and we always strive to be at the forefront with new technology and sustainable practices. The school conducts extensive project activities in collaboration with various research institutions such as RISE, Chalmers, and SLU. Responsibilities

• Teaching service technology in all school forms offered at the school, as well as responsibility and maintenance of the school's facilities.
• A large part of the work involves teaching students to maintain and repair tractors, tools, and machines.
• You are responsible for servicing the school's machinery fleet and carry this out together with colleagues and students.
• You will collaborate with other teachers in the work team and at the school.
• You will be involved in the continued development of the school and the education.
• You will participate in the practical work on the operations at Sötåsen.

The vocational teacher role gives you a unique opportunity to combine vocational expertise with pedagogical work. You will be an important person in creating good conditions for students' future lives. You will be part of one of the school's work teams where we collectively drive the development of the school's activities forward, and where our high expectations of the students are a clear success factor.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is educated and has experience as a service technician or automotive mechanic and has worked in agriculture. You should have a strong interest in teaching within the Nature Management Program and want to ensure that all students have the opportunity to develop according to their goals. You are flexible, goal-oriented, and take the initiative to collaborate with colleagues. You will be part of a work team where different subject combinations meet. We place great importance on your ability to work in an integrated manner so that students experience the education as a whole.

We are looking for someone who is development-oriented, meticulous, and enjoys being in a changing everyday life alongside students and colleagues. You have good theoretical and practical knowledge of agricultural machinery. We place students and their knowledge development at the center. Therefore, you need to be attentive to their needs, conditions, and experiences. You are characterized by openness, humility, and a strong willingness to develop and collaborate.

Driver's license B for manual transmission. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Desirable Qualifications

• Knowledge of digitalization in agriculture such as auto-steering, etc.
• Knowledge and familiarity with the green industries.
• Extended authorization E-license for trailers, forklift license.
• Pedagogical education and teaching experience. If you lack a teaching license, you should be willing to obtain it during employment.

Conditions

Permanent employment with 100% employment rate, vacation service. Start date August 1 or by agreement.
