About the position

ML Smide is part of the metalworking group Blixtsmide and delivers high-quality metalworking services to companies and organizations in the Mälardalen region. With a strong position in structural metalwork for infrastructure projects, the company has completed assignments for well-known companies. In its own workshop, steel structures for stairs, railings, frames, canopies, and bridges are manufactured. You will be based at the office located in Upplands-Väsby.

Your responsibilities

As an estimator at ML Smide, you will be responsible for analyzing customer inquiries, calculating costs, and creating competitive quotes. You will handle price inquiries to suppliers and subcontractors and ensure that the right materials and services are used for each project. The role also involves sales responsibility towards B2B customers, where you build relationships and contribute to business development.

You will work closely with project managers and production teams to ensure profitable and efficient business operations. Through your analytical skills and meticulous working methods, you contribute to ML Smide's continued delivery of high-quality metalworking solutions to its customers.

Your qualities

To succeed in the role of estimator, it is important to manage multiple inquiries simultaneously and work systematically under time pressure. You need to have analytical skills and a careful working method to ensure accurate calculations and cost estimates. Since the work environment is often dynamic and the pace is high, it is also important that you enjoy changes and can quickly adapt to new conditions.

Qualifications:

• Experience in estimating within construction or metalworking
• Good knowledge of Excel and quoting tools
• Ability to communicate fluently in speech and writing

Meritorious:

Scope and start date

Full-time, initially a 6-month assignment through Perido, followed by a possible direct recruitment to the client. Start date according to agreement.
