We are looking for a production manager for rectifier stations for an authority in Stockholm.
This is a consulting assignment.
The position is full-time.
The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.
The Assignment
The authority's mission is to prepare and implement decisions regarding the direction and scope for a long-term sustainable public transport system. They are also responsible for the management and follow-up of traffic operations as well as maintaining the functionality, safety, and value of the infrastructure. More than 700,000 people travel daily on public transport, including subway, buses, commuter trains, and local trains. The Tvärbanan Kistagrenen program is responsible for the remaining measures on the existing Solnagrenen and the new Kistagrenen route, which is a planned expansion of the Tvärbanan. The Kistagrenen starts after the Norra Ulvsunda stop in Bromma and stretches to the Helenelund commuter train station in Sollentuna. The Kistagrenen is planned to be about 8 kilometers long and will stop at nine new stations on its way between Norra
Ulvsunda and Helenelund, passing through three municipalities: Stockholm, Sundbyberg, and Sollentuna.
Travel on the Kistagrenen is expected to be significant as some of the Stockholm region's most important development areas, both in terms of workplaces and housing, are located along the route. Bromma Airport is one of the stops. Travel on the Tvärbanan is expected to increase from approximately 60,000 trips per day to 150,000 trips per day, including the expansions for Kistagrenen, Solnagrenen, and Sickla station.
To operate the Kistagrenen, 20 new vehicles have been purchased. The Kistagrenen program is now seeking a driven Production Manager for contract KG25, Rectifier Stations, and design support with experience in large project organizations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage contract KG25, Rectifier Station
- Overall responsible for production work regarding time, cost, and quality within BEST work
- Collaborate and coordinate with other production managers (Construction/ Land and BEST) as well as the project manager and other project participants
- Responsible for monitoring finances and time and report finances and time tracking to the project manager.
- Review changes and additional work as well as deductions (ÄTA) based on contracts and document these in the project's tracking system and continuously report these to the project manager
- Coordinate interfaces with the operations operator.
- Ensure that the contractor complies with the authority's safety management system, environmental and work environment requirements, technical guidelines, and other governing documents and procedures related to the work
- Participate in inspections and assist in handing over to the Traffic Department
- Represent the authority and the project in contact with various external parties and stakeholders such as authorities, suppliers, and contractors when necessary.
- Manage information efforts towards businesses and third parties
- Together with the design management, plan the delivery of documents
- Assist in the design of Contract Rectifier Stations and Contract BEST work
- Support in the development of technical descriptions and AF
- Review produced documents based on production experience
- Production plan for Contract Rectifier Stations and Contract BEST work
- Assist the project with the review of design documents
Requirements (Note: Mandatory)
High school education in engineering or 3 years of work experience in BEST during the production phase. At least 6 years of work experience, of which 4 years in a leading production position (e.g., site manager, production manager, construction manager, foreman) in the BEST area (Track, Electrical, Signal, and Telecom) in a production phase. At least 3 years of practical experience working with DC systems for train operations, including maintenance and installation of power supply systems. Alternatively, 3 years of experience working with DC systems for train operations as a responsible production manager. At least two years of work experience in railway/tramway projects in densely populated residential areas. At least three years of work experience as design support in one or more of the BEST areas (Track, Electrical, Signal, and Telecom).
Meritorious
Worked/Reviewed in Bluebeam or similar review programs in at least one previous project. Worked for at least 2 years with rectifier stations for rail/tram. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, railway technology, or electrical engineering.
