Property Technician Wanted at Skärgårdsstiftelsen

Are you an engaged and knowledgeable property technician who wants to help us preserve our beautiful buildings in the Stockholm archipelago? Then you are the one we are looking for!

About the Role:

At Skärgårdsstiftelsen, you will have a varied and diverse workday in a small, close-knit team. We are responsible for about 2000 buildings in the Stockholm archipelago, both on the mainland and on the islands. Your mission will be to renovate and maintain these buildings so that they can stand for another hundred years.

We manage a multifaceted portfolio of buildings such as holiday homes, permanent residences, farms, hostels, hotels, restaurants, piers, as well as lighthouses and windmills. We perform work both indoors and outdoors, year-round.

During the summer, you will also work with outdoor activities, which involves maintaining and operating service points for visitors as well as hiking trails, barbecue areas, and similar. You will be based at our local office in Gålö and will operate throughout the Stockholm archipelago.

About You:

• You have broad knowledge and practical experience in maintenance and renovation of various types of buildings.
• You can carpentry, both renovating old buildings and performing simpler new constructions.
• It’s great if you can also perform simple painting work.
• You have an interest and preferably knowledge of sustainability in building preservation.
• You have some boating experience, and it is an advantage if you hold a Class 8 ship officer certificate.
• It is advantageous if you have knowledge in any of our other work areas, such as electrical or plumbing.
