We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager for the Tvärbanan project

We are seeking a Construction Manager for a thrilling infrastructure project in the Stockholm area. The assignment involves construction management for earthworks, sheet piling, and foundation work, an important expansion of a Tvärbana that will connect nine new stops. The project is carried out in a complex urban environment and requires coordination with multiple stakeholders.

About the assignment:

As the Construction Manager, you will be the client's representative on-site and ensure that the contractor performs the work according to the contract, schedule, and quality standards. You will also support the project manager with technical questions and contribute during design and procurement.

The work includes, among other things:

-Management and control of production for earthworks, sheet piling, and foundation work.

-Monitoring the contractor's work, including self-checks, documentation, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and requirements.

-Collaboration and coordination with various parts of the project and external parties such as authorities, utility owners, and contractors.

-Reviewing design documents, contractor documentation, and invoices.

-Handling changes and continuous reporting to the project manager.

-Participation in inspections and handover to the Traffic Department and external parties.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

-At least 5 years of experience in construction management within earthworks and civil engineering, preferably in larger infrastructure projects.

-Experience working on urban projects, where coordination with many stakeholders is required.

-Good knowledge of contract law and experience in handling changes.

-Understanding of earthworks and foundation work, including sheet piling and excavation.

-Experience in construction site safety coordination.

-Good communication skills and experience leading meetings and coordinating various stakeholders.

Location and work environment

-Location: Stockholm, with a workplace at the program office in Sundbyberg and on the project work areas.

-Working hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week.

-Possibility for some remote work may exist, depending on the project's needs.
