Do you want to help adapt Sweden's cities and communities to climate change? Do you have expertise in climate adaptation or stormwater management? Then you could be our new project manager at RISE. We are currently looking for a project manager who wants to contribute to the development of the research and innovation area of Climate Adaptation and Sustainable Stormwater Management.
About us The Water and Climate Adaptation unit belongs to the Division of Civil Engineering at RISE. Within RISE, we possess broad expertise in climate adaptation and stormwater. Here, you will work closely with researchers, project managers, and practitioners on research projects and assignments related to decision support, multifunctional solutions, ecosystem services, flood risks, technology development, as well as testing and demonstration. We believe that cities and communities should be planned in a long-term and sustainable way, considering our constantly changing climate and ongoing urbanization. Examples of ongoing and completed projects in the area include:
- Gray to Green - AI support for transforming surfaces into multifunctional blue-green environments
- Collaboration for sustainable stormwater and cloudburst management on property
- Policy lab for climate adaptation
- Multifunctional urban climate adaptation in collaboration
- Climate-secured system solutions for urban surfaces
- Classification of prefabricated treatment plants for stormwater
- Quality criteria for rain bed substrates

About the role In the role of project manager, you will develop, implement, and drive development and innovation projects and assignments within stormwater and climate adaptation together with colleagues, officials from municipalities, authorities, property owners, technology providers, consultants, and academia. The role also involves working with environmental monitoring by networking externally and internally to identify new business opportunities.
The position is located in Stockholm, Gothenburg, or Uppsala. A probationary period may apply.
Who are you?
Requirements
- Experience in water-related fields.
- Experience in development and innovation in climate adaptation and sustainable stormwater management.
- A degree in engineering, natural sciences, landscape architecture, or social sciences.
- Documented experience in project management and good knowledge of civil engineering processes.
- Very good knowledge of English and Swedish, both spoken and written.
Meritorious
- Experience working closely with stakeholders such as municipalities, property owners, authorities, industry, or landowners in these areas.
- Doctorate
You have analytical, systematic, and innovative abilities, and you are motivated to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners. Your ability to create good relationships for new and existing project collaborations is essential for success in this role.
