We are looking for a project manager in railway infrastructure for an authority in Stockholm.

This is a consulting assignment with a scope of 50 percent. The authority may expand the scope as needed.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The authority's mission is to prepare and implement decisions regarding the direction and scope for a long-term sustainable public transport system. They are also responsible for the management and monitoring of traffic operations as well as maintaining the functionality, safety, and value of the infrastructure. Every day, more than 700,000 people travel using public transport, including subway, buses, commuter trains, and local trains.

Currently, within the Local Railway, a conclusion of the Roslagsbanan Expansion program is underway. This program has been ongoing for many years and includes many different projects under its umbrella, such as the construction of Roslags Näsby station. The program is now in its final stages, and there remains an assignment aimed at designing and implementing measures in an existing bridge to improve its durability, remaining lifespan, and operational and maintenance needs to a level acceptable to the authority and Täby municipality.

For this assignment, the Roslagsbanan Expansion program is seeking a project manager with experience from railway infrastructure projects, with emphasis on previously completed projects in trafficked facilities.

Responsibilities

To lead and execute projects/assignments towards goals in accordance with established project/assignment specifications regarding scope, time, cost, and quality
To ensure that projects/assignments are conducted in accordance with the authority's project management system PPH (project and program handbook) and other guidelines, routines, and strategies
To lead and manage the existing project organization and potentially staff outstanding roles
To be responsible for project/assignment financial forecasts, scheduling, and risk management
To report project status monthly to the portfolio leader and/or program manager
To coordinate and communicate with other projects in the program as well as both the authority's internal and external stakeholders
To ensure that correct documentation is prepared for steering group meetings with project/assignment stakeholders, and to participate in these if necessary
To ensure that project/assignment follows the authority's safety management system and requirements for environment and working conditions. To receive and delegate further tasks regarding working environment and safety within the project/assignment.
To ensure that follow-up of contracts, deliveries, and requirements against the supplier is conducted and evaluated
To ensure that the project/assignment is handed over to recipients both within the administration and other authorities.

Requirements (Note, mandatory)

Experience in managing complex projects with multiple technical areas for at least 5 years.

Experience in managing projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders for at least 5 years.

Competence in procurement and contract law in previous assignments.

At least 3 years of experience in projects in railway environments where the project affects the implementation of traffic production on train tracks.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (infrastructure, energy, electrical engineering, construction, and civil engineering) or another relevant area.

Experience in handing over projects from at least 1 assignment of a size of at least 500 MSEK within the last six years.

At least 3 years of experience in executing and handing over projects in relation to other authorities in the last five years.

Experience as a project manager/design manager or production manager for infrastructure projects in production with at least 3 concrete structures.

Driving license B and access to a car.

Desirable

Competence and experience in LOU/LUF in at least 2 previous assignments.
