Byängsskolan is an independent F-9 school with three parallel classes, approximately 800 students, and over 100 employees. The school is centrally located in Täby with good transportation links to and from the school. We also have nature with parks, forests, and outdoor areas nearby.

Our educators are ambitious, skilled, and dedicated to creating a learning and safe school environment for all. We have high expectations of ourselves and our students. This academic year, we have focused extra on reading, and our goal is for Byängsskolan to be a reading school, meaning that we all read a lot in all subjects. We work proactively against bullying and harassment using the Olweus program, based on research. Our safety work should permeate all activities, both lessons and breaks and lunch.

Now it is time for our beloved crafts teacher to retire, and we are looking for a calm and secure replacement for our competent and well-cooperating team. You will work as a wood and metal teacher in several classes, including shared mentorship in the upper grades. The position can be shaped according to the applicant's skills and wishes, 75-100%. The current teacher has taught grades 6-9, including mentorship, which results in a position of 75%, spread over four days.

High expectations, good study environment, safety, and strong knowledge are our guiding principles. A good learning environment requires that you have the ability to create a good study atmosphere, build good relationships with your students, and have an organized approach where you convey knowledge and inspire students to achieve their highest potential. It is important that you are interested in students' learning and systematically develop your teaching in your work towards the goals set by the school, the various chapters of the curriculum, and the school's regulations. You will be part of a team that plans, executes, and follows up on the work with the students together.
