Workplace Description
Maltesholm School is located in Hässelby Strand close to nature. Lake Mälaren and Grimstaskogen are just a stone's throw from the school. The school currently has about 430 students distributed across three preschool classes, 15 elementary school classes in grades 1–6, adapted primary school, and after-school activities for students in grades F-3 as well as middle school activities for students in grades 4-6.

Job Description
In the role of special teacher, you will among other things suggest measures and interventions for students in need of special support and be responsible for the establishment of investigations for special support, action programs, as well as follow-up and evaluation of action programs.
You will also practically provide students with support measures individually, in groups, and as support in regular teaching situations. Your main work will be directed towards students in grades 4-6.
You will also be responsible for maintaining our annual cycle regarding mapping, compiling results, and leading the follow-up with analysis and planning based on that.
In addition to this, you have a consulting and guiding role towards colleagues, other members of the student health team, and school management. As a special teacher, you are an important part of the school's student health team.
You will develop, in close collaboration with teachers and educators, the work in the classroom regarding adaptations and special support.
In your role as a lead teacher, you will be part of the school's pedagogical development group consisting of lead teachers, development teachers, and school management. The group is responsible for driving professional development based on the school's prioritized development areas. You will also actively participate in the school's systematic quality work.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Special teacher degree
- Teaching license with qualifications in Swedish and Mathematics grades 4-6
- Experience teaching grades 4-6
- Experience working with and being responsible for the process of USS and ÅP
- Experience systematically mapping, analyzing, and planning forward regarding students' knowledge development
- Experience working proactively and preventively together with colleagues and the school's EHT
In the work as a special teacher with us, it is important that you have a good ability to create relationships with both students, guardians, and colleagues. You should be flexible based on the needs of students and the organization and contribute ideas to develop our operations.
You conduct language and knowledge-developing teaching.
You are responsible and have the ability to see each student's individual needs and conditions, and in collaboration with colleagues, you can contribute to developing good learning environments for all students in the school.
You have experience and competence to drive school development issues and pedagogical discussions are something that interests you. For you, collegial learning and collaboration are important.
You are well acquainted with current governing documents.

As a lead teacher, you meet the Swedish National Agency for Education's minimum requirements:
- Are a licensed teacher by the Swedish National Agency for Education
- Can document at least four years of well-rated work with teaching within the framework of one or more employment within the school system
- Have demonstrated a particularly good ability to improve students' academic results and have a strong interest in developing teaching
- Have been assessed by the principal as particularly qualified for teaching and tasks related to teaching
You have met the qualifications for documented professional competence.
Through systematic and structured documentation, you have shown that you:
- Have a particularly good ability to improve students' academic results
- Can make students' learning and results visible
- Have great engagement in teaching and work for the development of the entire school and all students
- Create a safe learning environment and have high expectations for students and their ability to develop
- Develop your practice and contribute to colleagues' and the profession's knowledge development
