The Education Administration is responsible for all activities within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary school, after-school care, high school, and adult education.

Our preschools are located in central Märsta with good communication opportunities. The preschool area consists of two units: Aspbacken with 134 children enrolled and 24 educators, of which 3 are resources distributed across 7 departments, and Märstadal with three departments, 55 children, and 10 educators, of which one is a resource.

Our vision is to create a preschool based on the core values of welcoming, listening, joy, and inclusion. These words should permeate our operations in both environment and approach. By using pedagogical documentation, we make our views on children, our views on knowledge, and our chosen values visible.

As support in daily work and in project work (Sigtuna's municipal preschools work with the curriculum assignment based on Reggio Emilia's pedagogical philosophy), we have access to a pedagogista (educational development leader) and a special educator who is part of the preschool's management organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are currently seeking a licensed and engaged preschool teacher who is proud of their profession and has a very good ability to take on pedagogical leadership.

As a preschool teacher, you lead your team and are responsible for the pedagogical activities in the department according to the applicable governing documents for preschools. Your tasks include:

• planning, implementing, evaluating, and developing teaching
• designing and developing adequate learning environments that invite play and exploration and where children's participation is clearly evident
• verbally and in writing communicate the preschool's pedagogical mission and document and follow up on the individual child's development and learning
• together with the principal conduct systematic quality work locally at the preschool

QUALIFICATIONS

A preschool teacher license and good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing are requirements. It is an advantage if you have experience working on projects, as we in Sigtuna's municipal preschools work with the curriculum assignment based on inspiration from Reggio Emilia's pedagogical philosophy.

You have the ability to lead the pedagogical activities and create engagement and participation in the team. As a person, you are a good listener, clear in your communication, and it is natural for you to be an ambassador for the preschool and our operations.

You are structured, work according to a clear process, organize and plan your work well, complete what has been started, and meet deadlines.
