We are a non-profit organization for people with mental health issues.

In this discussion group, individuals with diagnoses such as Depression, Anxiety, and other attachment-related issues like relational and personality disorders meet.

The idea is to provide an opportunity to meet others and talk about thoughts and feelings, sharing experiences and insights.

The group meets one evening a week around 6-8 PM at Folkets Hus in Rågsved or Bagarmossen, totaling 6 sessions during the spring, starting in April. It may continue in the fall.

Important qualities include being able to easily create contact and initiate conversations. You will agree with the participants on the format, e.g., whether to have themes/topics to discuss for each meeting. The format of the group can vary, and one format could be talking rounds where participants take turns speaking with a talking stick that is passed around until the topic is exhausted.

Key roles as a leader, in addition to creating contact and conversation, include encouraging storytelling using techniques such as active listening, direct encouragement, and reflections (See Rautalinko - Conversation Skills), as well as contributing to affirming when needed, so that the storyteller feels their story is received.

There will be supervision available.

Desirable qualifications include knowledge in developmental psychology, attachment theory, developmental psychopathology, interpersonal psychology, Malan's triangles.

It is an advantage if you have a university degree in a care-related field such as medicine, theology, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, social work, psychology, psychotherapy, behavioral science, teaching, or other relevant education such as mental health nursing, residential support, leisure leadership, etc.

Experience of personal mental health issues is acceptable if it is in the past and you have recovered.

Hourly compensation.
