About the school

Praktiska Gymnasiet Nykvarn offers students a concept where theory is combined with practical exercises both in school and at workplaces. At Praktiska, we set high standards for ourselves to create the best conditions for an educational and enjoyable training. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings consist of: BA, EE, FR, FS, FT, NB, IN, VF, and VO. Currently, the school has about 240 students and approximately 30 staff members.

Your mission

The position is 80% with an immediate start. You will cover for our current HVAC teacher until mid-June. You will teach and guide our students in HVAC and ventilation and be responsible for their internships/APL. Together with other colleagues, you will be part of a work team. We see you as an important and driving force to develop both the program and the subject with students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to subject-specific tasks, like other teachers at the school, you will have responsibilities such as mentoring, and together you and your colleagues will coach the students both socially and academically throughout their three years at Praktiska Gymnasiet. We mainly communicate through Schoolsoft and work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and planning. This applies to both students and colleagues.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with experience in the HVAC profession who can start immediately. We place great importance on personal qualities. We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, and that you identify with our values and guiding principles. Our students are eager to enter the workforce, and your main task is to lead them there!

In addition, Praktiska Gymnasiet also offers internal training for newly hired unlicensed teachers and has an ongoing collaboration with various national institutions that offer further education for teachers (VAL) to support our teachers in becoming licensed.
