Workplace Description

Vällingbyskolan is a pleasant F-9 school with adapted primary education located near Vällingby center and beautiful green areas.

There are approximately 800 students and 145 staff members. At Vällingbyskolan, there is dedicated and experienced staff striving to create the best possible school for their students. We have invested in strengthening the school's student health work by increasing the number of special teachers, counselors, and school nurses, as well as introducing full-time mentors in grades 4-9.

In the coming years, we will work together to continue developing the operations with a focus on student learning and teaching quality.

Job Description

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with qualifications in home economics.

We are seeking an engaged and certified teacher who wants to work with us at Vällingbyskolan. You will teach our students in grades 6-9 as well as adapted primary education in home economics.

You will be part of a work team where you have close collaboration regarding planning, teaching, and assessment. Together, you will work to differentiate and adapt teaching according to the student group. The work team also includes full-time mentors, special teachers, and special educators with whom you will collaborate closely to create a safe school day for our students. Collaboration is a prerequisite and a given, both within the work team and with other teams at the school. It is together with others that you provide students with the best conditions for learning and development.

The position is a permanent employment. You will collaborate closely with a subject colleague in home economics.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are qualified, certified, and have experience teaching grades 6-9 as well as adapted primary education in home economics.

We seek you who are goal-oriented and engaged. You are a clear leader who leads and organizes the work to create a safe learning environment for the students. You are attentive and creative and meet the students based on their conditions. We expect you to be development-oriented and active in the school's work teams and in the school's joint development. You aim to design an enjoyable and modern teaching approach and work from the perspective that all students should have the opportunity to succeed in school.

You should be well acquainted with your teaching role and confident in your leadership. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
