Job Advertisement: Security Guard and Orderly Guard

As a security guard at Avarn Security, you will have an exciting daily life where your task is to enhance our customers' safety and promote a safer environment.

A patrolling security guard works with preventive security. You will be mobile and visit customers in your district/area to check that alarms are activated, windows and doors are closed and locked, electrical equipment is turned off, and that no unauthorized persons are present on the property/area. Patrol monitoring is conducted both indoors and outdoors, usually at night, and you will work in shifts. The work is independent and mobile.

In stationary monitoring, you work at the customer's location. This can involve everything from reception work to patrolling and staffing security centers. An orderly guard collaborates with the police to maintain order in public places. Common workplaces include sporting events, public transport, hospitals, and shopping centers where they ensure legality and order. An orderly guard works in public spaces where many people are moving. Therefore, it is important to be stress-resistant and have high social skills. The work of an orderly guard differs from that of a security guard because the orderly guard has greater authority to intervene in disturbances. He/she has the right to dismiss, remove, or temporarily detain anyone who disrupts public order, poses a threat to it, or if necessary to prevent a criminal act. To work as an orderly guard, a special orderly guard training and an orderly guard appointment are required.

Qualifications

We are looking for trained orderly guards and security guards who are safety-conscious, service-oriented, stress-resistant with inner security, and a natural drive to help. You should feel secure in your role as an orderly guard/security guard. It is also important that you are flexible for varying tasks and that you have high communication and collaboration skills. We seek individuals who are responsible and empathetic and who value consideration and honesty. A good camaraderie makes it easy to have fun while we work! Experience in the profession is seen as a positive, but is not a requirement.

Our general requirements for applicants are:

• must be without a criminal record (a legal compliance check will be conducted before employment is finalized)
• drug-free
• high school diploma (Swedish 1 & 2)
• good Swedish and English in speech and writing
• good health and fitness
• organized finances
• driver's license B

For these positions, you must already be a trained orderly guard with an active orderly guard appointment and/or a trained security guard with active approval.
