Software Developer for Sweco in Gästrikland/Dalarna

We are looking for a software developer on behalf of Sweco to strengthen their team in Gästrikland/Dalarna. We are specifically looking for someone with experience and understanding of geographic information and closely related services such as web maps, geodata deliveries, and understanding of GIS infrastructure. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

At Sweco's Digital Services division, you will work at the forefront of digital technology and they place great importance on learning and development. Among your future colleagues, you will find FME experts, software developers, and other IT experts, as well as BIM experts, digitalization leaders, data and information coordinators, geodata experts, and GIS experts.

You will be part of a multifaceted team of IT consultants who all contribute in different ways with their expertise in community building. You will have access to a large national network of like-minded individuals, where there is a wealth of shared experience and specialized skills. In your role, you will, for example:

  • Help Sweco's clients take new steps towards a more efficient, modern, and business-adapted way of working
  • Work with new development, further development, integrations, or management
  • Develop client relationships and eventually enable the design of your assignments
  • Have great opportunities to influence the future through developed delivery areas, new digital services, and technologies

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has relevant education from a university with at least a bachelor's degree (3 years)
  • Has previous work experience in software development as the main task for at least three years
  • Has good knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, and React
  • Has developed solutions containing geographic information and interactive map services
  • Is accustomed to designing and working with relational databases
  • Has previously worked with container solutions
  • Has worked according to agile methods
  • Can express yourself clearly in both spoken and written Swedish and English

We consider it an advantage for the position if you have worked with:

  • Development in ArcGIS environments or equivalent
  • Community development and the community building process
  • API development and integration
  • Development of system solutions for large organizations
  • Previous consulting experience
