Part-time IT Technician

ABOUT THE POSITION

Our client in Gävle needs to strengthen their IT team with an IT technician who wants to build valuable experience in IT/data. The position is part-time, about 2-3 days a week, and together with your supervisor, you will create a flexible schedule that suits both the business you work in and your studies or if you have another main occupation. The need is long-term, and there is an opportunity to work during the summer for those looking for summer jobs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

As an IT technician, you primarily provide support and assist customers when they need technical help or advice regarding computers, networks, or general IT-related issues. To get into the role in the best way, you will initially accompany a colleague who will introduce you to the work. You will work with:

  • Providing network support to customers, which may involve installing networking equipment such as routers or Wi-Fi extenders. It may also involve monitoring the network, connections, and signal strength to ensure that performance is sufficiently good for the workplace.
  • Managing and assisting with user accounts and passwords
  • Resolving system errors or installing and maintaining networks
  • Configuring and installing new IT equipment
  • Keeping records of problems that arise and conducting routine checks

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Is studying IT/computer science at least 50% and has at least two years left in your studies, or has another main occupation of at least 50%
  • Has good computer and system skills and is proficient in the Office suite and Teams
  • Speaks and writes fluently in both Swedish and English
  • Has a valid driver's license (B) as you will be driving for work
