We lead our preschools and primary schools within the Lärande group in Sweden AB, which is one of Sweden's largest independent school groups. Job Description - The Role of Team Teacher
We are now looking for a team teacher in MA/NO for Lärande Primary School Southern who wants to work in grades 7-9. As a teacher with us, you will work based on a pedagogical model that we call the Learning Model, which organizes teachers into teams that teach students in an interdisciplinary manner together in a grade. We call it team teaching. In the role of team teacher, you create conditions for learning and guide towards the goals of the operation. You plan, implement, and evaluate teaching together with your team teaching colleague. You participate in development work, team work, and are expected to collaborate with colleagues in various ways. You and your team teaching colleague work with one grade instead of several and follow them in the interdisciplinary work. This way, you build closer relationships and a safer interaction.
Within the Learning Model, we have a school year structure divided into 6 periods to enable systematic and sustainable interdisciplinary work with a focus on students' learning processes. Each period contains an interdisciplinary assignment, with an accompanying mid-week for joint school activities, subject-specific elements, and 1-2 study days for students when teachers work on planning, development, and documentation. This way, students receive more frequent feedback throughout the school year, creating conditions for success in school. The interdisciplinary work is based on assignments built according to LGR22, which provides a supportive framework for equity and quality. The assignments, in turn, contain clear elements of cooperative and value-creating learning. This makes school more meaningful and much more fun. The assignments are the primary parts of the school day and the schedule for teachers and students. These are structured and calculated based on our timetable, which defines how much time from each subject constitutes an assignment in a current period. By working according to the Learning Model throughout the entire company Lärande Preschools and Primary Schools, there is an opportunity for collaboration across our school boundaries. This is facilitated through joint meetings every six weeks and digital contact through our Teams channels.
Qualifications
We are now looking for you who are, or are on your way to becoming, a certified teacher in MA/NO with authorization to teach this subject combination in grades 7-9. Technical competence is an advantage. We prefer that you have previous experience in pedagogical work in the role of teacher and mentor from work or internship. We are looking for someone who feels secure in their profession as a teacher and has the knowledge and practical skills required for the position.
In your role as a teacher, you should have good knowledge of the school's mission and be well acquainted with the current curriculum and other governing documents. Based on this, you should have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students with a relational approach where engaged students are the foundation for development. You believe in students' willingness and ability to succeed and are constantly looking for ways to develop your teaching to provide students with the best conditions.
Great importance is placed on your willingness and ability to collaborate closely with other teachers around teaching and that you are a team player. If you have previous experience with co-teaching, subject integration, and project work, it is advantageous. You are flexible and welcome new challenges. You have a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and the different conditions of individuals. You have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively in a team.
