We are looking for a PhD researcher to work on studies regarding anterior cruciate ligament injuries.

About the job

The position as a research engineer is within the research group “Sports Knee Injury” led by Professor Joanna Kvist, at the Department of Physiotherapy at Linköping University. You will collaborate with various individuals within the research group and work on ongoing and planned studies, primarily processing data together with statisticians, collecting new data, and presenting results both in writing and verbally.

About you

We are looking for someone interested in the consequences following an anterior cruciate ligament injury. You are an enthusiastic, open, and positive person who delivers results accurately within the specified time frame.

You should have a PhD in medical science, physiotherapy/rehabilitation, in the field of sports-related knee injuries or equivalent.

It is also advantageous if you have worked as a researcher in multidisciplinary teams and have experience treating patients after anterior cruciate ligament injuries. You should be well-acquainted with the rehabilitation process following this injury. Additionally, strong skills in scientific writing in English and an understanding of the Swedish language are important for the position.

Your workplace

You will work at the Department of Physiotherapy, Division of Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Close Care, within the research group on knee-related sports injuries led by Professor Joanna Kvist (https://liu.se/medarbetare/joakv97 (https://liu.se/medarbetare/joakv97)).

About the employment

The position is a fixed-term full-time employment for six months, with the possibility of extension. Start date is August 2025.
