The Department of Work and Learning is responsible for, among other things, individual and family care, labor market and employment, as well as adult education and upper secondary school. Our core mission is to offer education and support based on individual needs and circumstances. Through early, promoting, and preventive measures, we conduct targeted work in collaboration with other community actors.

The Department of Individual and Family Care consists of four units; IFO team 1, IFO team 2, Housing Support Team, and Support and Treatment Unit. The department is responsible for processing and implementation within the areas of children (SoL and LVU) and adult substance abuse (SoL and LVM), social psychiatry (SoL), and domestic violence (SoL).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker for foster homes, you will work to follow up and ensure the quality of our foster homes by:

• Recruiting and assessing foster homes, as well as contact persons and contact families.
• Training, supervising, and providing advice and support to the foster homes.
• Writing contracts with the foster homes.
• Collaborating with colleagues and various partners.

Our foster homes are located throughout Sweden. This means that travel is required in the job, as well as occasional evening work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We aim to recruit foster homes in-house, a work that the team will continue to develop. We are now looking for someone who enjoys thinking outside the box, finding solutions, and wants to be part of our important mission to find the best foster homes for our placed children. To be part of our recruitment and assessment group, you need to be flexible, good at creating social contacts, and enjoy juggling multiple tasks. The job involves meeting many people, so you should enjoy driving and have a high work pace.

Requirements:

• Degree in social work or another qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Preferably experience in previous work within social services with children and youth.
• Excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good documentation skills.
• Good ability to work independently and collaborate well with others.
• Valid driver's license and driving experience.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have previous experience working in a foster care group.
• Have worked with BBiC, Signs of Safety, and the documentation system Lifecare.
