Job Description

Do you want to be part of creating life-changing differences for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment assistant or treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge.

SiS Youth Home Ryds Brunn consists of three departments with space for 21 school-age boys; one MBB department (reception and needs assessment), one open and one secure treatment department, as well as a primary school.

The goal of your assignment is to motivate our youth towards new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you ensure that the routines in the department function as they should. You play a significant role in the stability and safety of our youth and clients, and you are responsible for the foundation of daily life such as schooling, cleaning, cooking, etc. You contribute to maintaining safety in the institution according to our routines, and documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building secure relationships and contribute to ensuring that our youth/clients receive the safety and security they need to break old habits. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues such as treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

The working hours are according to a schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, a high level of empathy, and an ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in stressful situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.

You should also have:

• Completed upper secondary education
• Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., within psychiatry, HVB operations, or care and support.
• Driver's license B
• Good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing
