Treatment Assistant with Night Shift at SiS Youth Home Fagared
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people and for adults with substance abuse issues. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Fagared receives non-school-age boys with psychosocial problems, criminality, and substance abuse. We have departments in Lindome, Öxnevalla, and Gothenburg.
Job Description
Take the opportunity to try an interesting job as a treatment assistant with night shifts at our Falkgatan department in Gothenburg. The department's target group is boys aged 16-21 who are taken into care according to LVU and placed according to LSU. The young people living at Falkgatan are at the end of their stay at SiS and need to be prepared to reintegrate into society.
The work aims to provide our youth with good care and support around the clock. We are now looking for several new employees who can work nights on both weekdays and weekends according to a schedule. Scope according to agreement.
Do you want to help create the life-changing difference for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a awake night staff member in the department, you ensure a safe and secure environment for the youth during the night. This means that you will be awake all night and be well acquainted with applicable routines. Your tasks include monitoring the department, documentation, and cleaning according to the department's routines. You assist the evening staff with evening routines and participate in handovers. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to schedule at night - weekdays and weekends.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training. The training combines theory with a guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
Qualifications
Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of humanity, great empathy, and the ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.
You should also have:
- Completed upper secondary education
- Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., in psychiatry, HVB operations, or care and support.
- B driver's license
- Good Swedish in speech and writing

Employment:
The position is a permanent employment with scope and start date according to agreement. It begins with a six-month probationary period.
