We are now looking for a residential support worker to our team at Hamngatan. We offer training and a developing job where you can make a difference! The position is part-time, approximately 90%. About Hamngatan Hamngatan is a residential home for children and young people according to LSS, aimed at those with diagnoses within the autism spectrum or intellectual disabilities.
The residence is centrally located in Lilla Edet. It is within walking distance to the center of Lilla Edet where you can find shops, restaurants, a health center, dentists, a cinema, and a library. From there, buses also go to nearby communities. A bus to Trollhättan takes half an hour, and to Gothenburg it takes an hour by bus and train.
The residence is staffed around the clock, all year round. We strive for a staff group composed of different educational backgrounds, ages, and genders to meet the various support needs of the children and young people. Examples of educational backgrounds for employees in the organization include behavioral scientists, support educators, and nursing assistants. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks will also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours will be scheduled during the day, evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call.
You will have a coordinator close to you who works part of their time in the organization. This could also be a future career opportunity for you.
Your experience and knowledge You who are applying have a high school education in health and care or another equivalent education. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience in documentation. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the target group.
