Educational Leader at Campus Nynäshamn

Campus Nynäshamn is in a dynamic development phase characterized by creativity and innovation, and we are expanding within higher vocational education! Are you an experienced educational leader who wants to join us on our journey? Then we need you! Welcome to our team!

Campus Nynäshamn applied to the Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education (MYH) to organize additional new YH programs to our existing portfolio. To our delight, we received several completely new educational programs that we would like you to help build with us. All our YH programs are conducted remotely with elements of in-person meetings. There is a workplace at Campus in Nynäshamn, but you will have great opportunities for remote work and flexibility. Several of our employees live in locations other than Nynäshamn, which is a possibility in this position.

Job Responsibilities

The educational leader has a coordinating, administrative, communicative, supportive, and executing role. The educational leader is part of a strong YH team consisting of educational leaders and a responsible manager.

The team works closely together with a shared responsibility for the development of higher vocational education at Campus Nynäshamn. Most of your work will be done digitally. You will also be responsible for entirely new educational programs within higher vocational education. Therefore, it is important that you are comfortable with digital media and working with remote education. It is also important that you are well acquainted with the educational leader role within higher vocational education and preferably have worked as an educational leader for a few years.

The educational leader has the coordinated responsibility for the implementation of the education, which must be carried out in accordance with the law and regulations regarding higher vocational education. The main goal is for the students to be in demand within the industry related to the education. The educational leader is the contact person for the students, the executor for the management team, and responsible for ensuring that course leaders and lecturers deliver quality education in line with applicable educational and course plans. Your work regarding the students' LIA is also an important part. In your role as an educational leader, you are responsible for ensuring that your education has good throughput and maintains high quality.

The role includes budget responsibility, procurement of educators, and follow-up and systematic quality work. As an educational leader, you will work digitally in various systems, such as MYH's monitoring system, the learning platform It’s Learning, and Office 365.

About the Workplace

The mission of the Business and Labor Market Administration is to strengthen Nynäshamn Municipality as an attractive place for entrepreneurs. We meet the need for skills by offering education to young people and adults at Nynäshamn Gymnasium and Campus Nynäshamn. We also work to increase opportunities for people who are far from the labor market to establish themselves or return to work.

Campus Nynäshamn is the municipality's learning center with a comprehensive offering of education for adults. We offer four different school forms under the same umbrella: higher education, vocational education, national vocational training, and adult education. Our focus is to be a motor, broker, and meeting place for businesses and students. We believe in synergies between all activities, employees, and the business community. We have around 55 employees across the entire Campus and 7 employees in the YH team (higher vocational education).

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • relevant post-secondary education or equivalent
  • at least 3-5 years of experience in project management with the business community as the target group
  • experience in budget work or financial work
  • experience working within higher vocational education and YH programs
  • good skills in working digitally and with digital programs such as Teams, Zoom, It’s Learning, and the Office suite
  • good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • relevant work experience and network within the business community, construction, industry, or similar sectors
  • certified Educational Leader for higher vocational education
  • education in pedagogy or experience working with education
  • relevant experience in strength-based leadership
  • worked within municipal operations.

You understand that you are responsible for your students and can best lead them through their education.
