Fornbacka School is a dual-parallel F-6 school with approximately 340 students and 80 staff members. We are a primary school and an adapted primary school, which also includes a department for students with mobility impairments. The school also has its own special education group and a municipal special education group. Fornbacka School is a multicultural school located in a residential area where most of our students live.

At Fornbacka School, we work based on a language and knowledge-developing approach. Here, the importance of communication and interaction is central. Teachers use cooperative support structures to encourage students to communicate and actively use the language. The focus is also on strengthening students' reading skills by systematically training decoding and language comprehension.

With the help of an accessible learning environment, we ensure that all students have a positive learning experience and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
In the classrooms, there is access to interactive boards and tablets. All tablets are equipped with the programs available in Skolon, the municipality's shared digital platform.

We strive for our outdoor environment to be appealing. We believe in an active recess where students and staff have the opportunity to socialize in various forms, with playfulness and creativity at the center. We participate in the well-being program, which is a program for activity and inclusion, where friendly and respectful well-being leaders in grades 3-6 create opportunities for increased activity during recess.

Fornbacka School is seeking a teacher for grades F-3.
 

Your responsibilities

You will be responsible for planning, implementing, following up, and assessing students' knowledge development.

We place great importance on your personal qualities. 

Requirements:  
- Primary school teacher with teaching certification 
 
Meritorious: 
- Experience and competence to teach students who learn Swedish as a second language  
- Good knowledge of digital tools

Fornbacka School is located among the houses in Fornhöjden in Södertälje, about 1 km from the Östertälje commuter station. The bus regularly passes by the school, and the bus stop is about 100 meters from the school.
