Licensed and Qualified High School Teacher in Modern Languages

About the Position:

  • Teaching: Remote teaching in modern languages at the high school level.
  • Extent: Part-time, depending on demand from schools.
  • Duration: 12 months or longer.
  • Employment Type: Permanent or temporary employment.

About the Position

We are looking for engaged and competent language teachers who want to be part of our team! As a teacher with us, you play an important role in inspiring and supporting students in their language development.

You will:

  • Support students' learning through a language-developing approach.
  • Adapt teaching to students' needs and conditions.
  • Participate in professional development and pedagogical development work.
  • Create an inspiring learning environment that sparks curiosity and engagement.

Qualifications

We see language teaching as a central part of students' development and achievement. Therefore, we prioritize a qualitative and language-developing approach. We are looking for someone with a holistic view of learning, who is engaged and curious to develop in their profession with us. A teaching degree with qualification in the relevant language is a requirement.

Job Responsibilities

You will teach modern languages at the high school level via remote teaching. If needed, native language instruction or study guidance may also be included in the position, depending on demand from schools. Your assignment includes planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in accordance with the curriculum. As an educator, it is important to adapt teaching to students' individual needs and support their knowledge development.

Since we do not yet know exactly which languages will be in demand, we are advertising this position broadly to identify potential candidates. We are particularly looking for licensed teachers in modern languages other than Arabic, Spanish, German, French, and Italian.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who:

  • Have a teaching license with qualification to teach the relevant language.
  • Have teaching experience, preferably in remote teaching, and good computer skills (G Suite or similar digital tools).
  • Have a formative approach and an interest in pedagogical development.
  • Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

We apply the collective agreement between Almega Education Companies/Service Unions and the trade unions Unionen/SI.
