About the position

We are now looking for a teacher for grades 7-9 with qualifications in mathematics, technology, and one or more science subjects.

Job description

You will be part of one of our 5 teacher teams where you will collaboratively plan and be responsible for the education and development of the students. Your focus will be on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. You will teach our students in mathematics and all science subjects, educating and supporting them in their social and academic development. You will challenge students to take their own initiatives, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. Your role also includes mentorship. As a mentor, you will have specific responsibility for a group of students, allowing you to closely follow their academic development and personal growth. As a mentor, you will inform and keep the students' guardians updated on their development.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach grades 7-9 in mathematics, technology, and all science subjects. If you also have special education qualifications, we consider that an advantage. You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. Furthermore, you possess good didactic and pedagogical skills, allowing you to lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and, with good knowledge and experience, work effectively with relevant digital tools. Of course, you maintain a professional approach and work towards good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

About the workplace

Roslagsskolan is centrally located in beautiful Norrtälje, providing varied learning opportunities through proximity to nature, businesses, and sports facilities. Approximately 450 students in grades 7-9 are distributed across 5 teams. About 70 dedicated employees work here, nearly 50 of whom are educators who, with great subject pride, create an environment that best promotes learning.
