Workplace Description

Tellusborg School is located in Midsommarkransen and is a 6-9 school with about 700 students. The school also has a preparatory class, an LSU group, and an RSU group. The school has a well-established tradition of working with cultural expressions such as art, music, and theater, among other things through recurring theme projects. The school is organized in grade-level teams, each led by an assistant principal.

Job Description

Tellusborg School is growing, and we are now looking for a craft teacher, preferably with qualifications in another subject, who wants to work in a team and at a school where creativity and creation are seen as very important and everyone's concern. We work in well-organized teams, and as a teacher with us, you must be flexible and relational. You will have shared mentorship in a 7th grade together with another teacher in the team.

There are great opportunities for collaboration within the craft subject as all our craft teachers at the school are qualified and certified.

The students work in half-class groups, and the lesson periods are 80 minutes long. New functional craft classrooms for work in textiles, wood, metal, and other materials, equipped with air purifiers, dust extraction, and various other machines. The classrooms are newly renovated and mainly furnished with new equipment. There are two craft classrooms for textile crafts and two classrooms for wood and metal crafts.

You will belong to a team (7th grade), but in addition, you may teach students from other grades. The position is a temporary contract during the autumn term of 2025, with a possibility of extension.

Qualifications

You are a qualified and certified teacher with documented experience teaching the craft subject at the upper secondary level of primary school.

You have the competence to plan and implement teaching that meets the needs and interests of different students.

You can individualize and adapt teaching and assignments to suit students' varying abilities, both those aiming for and approaching the highest grades and those who need a bit more support from the teacher to achieve passing grades.

You are proficient in digital technology both for your own use and in teaching.

You are good at building relationships with students and comfortable in parent contacts.

Experience and knowledge of NPF (neuropsychiatric disabilities) is an advantage.
