Kista International School is a primary school located in Akalla. The school is a free school founded in 2010 and is owned by a non-profit association. It is a growing school that will have approximately 750 students in grades F-9 in the 25/26 school year. The school is very successful and has had around 90% eligibility for upper secondary school in recent years, ranking among the top three schools in the entire country according to the Swedish National Agency for Education's survey. We strongly believe in having high expectations for our students and are not satisfied until all students succeed. To achieve this goal, we work hard to strengthen collaboration with homes, maintain order and structure in the school, and take care of our teachers so they feel comfortable and can do a good job. We are very committed to our positive collegial culture at the school, and within the work teams, we have excellent collaboration and support for each other. We have a high adult presence in the school and work towards a structured and well-organized student health effort.

We are now looking for two teachers in Swedish and Swedish as a second language. Most students at the school have Swedish as a second language. In Swedish, we work in a team-teaching model, and you will be part of a subject team consisting of four teachers. You will teach grades 7-9. The teachers plan together and support each other, where equality in teaching for students is important. You need to be confident in teaching and be able to inspire students with joy to want to learn more. The role requires you to be structured, have the ability to teach in a pedagogical way to encourage students to gain more knowledge, as well as possess good leadership qualities and understand the importance of building relationships.

We always strive to hire qualified teachers, but if you are a student teacher or have other interesting educational and professional experience that relates to the content of the role, we also welcome applications from unqualified teachers who have experience teaching in primary schools in Sweden. The positions are full-time. Start on August 4 or by agreement. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis. Applications are only accepted in Swedish.
