Stålhamraskolan is a F-6 school with approximately 290 students and has two classes in each grade. The adapted primary school, with students studying subjects and subject areas, has around 50 students where both teachers and assistants work with the children. Stålhamraskolan also has a municipal special education group and students studying Finnish profile. We operate in a multicultural environment and have the privilege of working with people from many different countries. This gives the school enormous dynamics. We work for a safe school environment during lessons, breaks, and leisure time. The EHT works to provide the support and help needed both at the individual and group level. At Stålhamraskolan, we actively work with collegial learning to continuously develop our staff and, in the long run, the entire school.

We are looking for a qualified teacher for our adapted primary school with a focus on subject areas.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the entire teaching process together with other teachers for the students studying subject areas. You understand the importance of teaching being creative and stimulating, while also being based on research and proven methods. You plan, organize, and implement teaching individually and together with your colleagues. You are flexible and have good collaboration skills and a willingness to work together with other staff to help students reach their full potential. Together with the teachers and student assistants, you create a classroom environment characterized by safety, trust, and respect.

Teachers in the adapted primary school are part of a work team where you, together with your colleagues, plan, teach, and document based on the curriculum.
You organize and lead lessons that are adapted for students within IF and autism spectrum to provide good conditions for learning. You collaborate closely with colleagues regarding teaching and planning of the activities. As support in your teaching, student assistants will participate.

Requirements:
- You are a licensed primary school teacher
- You have knowledge and experience of alternative augmentative communication such as sign language support and compensatory teaching materials.
- You are well acquainted with the adapted primary school's curriculum
- You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.

Meritorious:
- You have a special education degree with a focus on intellectual disabilities
- You can work with and write additional adaptations within the adapted primary school area
- Several years of experience in the profession.
- Swim proficient
