Norrtälje Municipality and Hallsta School are looking for an engaged and qualified teacher in textile crafts. About the Position

Hallsta School is a F-9 school with an associated after-school program. We have about 55 staff and 340 students. Hallsta School is located about 40 minutes north of Norrtälje with good transportation links back and forth. We have nature right outside our door. We are very proud of our operations that show good academic results. Our ambition is for it to be fun and developmental to work with us. We have a stable organization with well-functioning teams and good support functions, including a student health team with many different professions. We use visual support in all classrooms. The teams at Hallsta School are divided into F-6, 7-9, and the After-School Program. Each team is led by a team leader. Hallsta School's students should be given the opportunity to choose their own path after primary school and in life. About the Role

As a teacher in textile crafts at Hallsta School, you will:

• Teach students in grades 3-9 in the subject of textile crafts.
• Be a mentor for a group of students in upper secondary together with a colleague.
• Individually and together with colleagues plan, implement, and evaluate teaching according to governing documents to ensure high pedagogical quality.
• Actively work with students' knowledge development and promote their interest in the subject.
• Participate in the school's joint work to promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment, physically, pedagogically, and psychosocially.
• Collaborate with teams to develop the school's overall goals and areas for development by being active in systematic quality work.
• Create good collaboration with students, colleagues, guardians, and other actors the school comes into contact with.
• Contribute to a good working environment for everyone at the school.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A teaching degree with qualifications to teach textile crafts or other relevant education.
• Previous experience of teaching in primary school.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• Good didactic and methodological skills and who creates structure and clarity in the classroom.
• The ability to create a safe and inclusive learning environment based on learning goals.
• The ability to activate students' learning and create motivating learning situations that make students thrive and develop in your classroom.

The Challenges

At Hallsta School, the student group is heterogeneous, and you need to have the ability to adapt your teaching to the needs of the group and individual students. It is advantageous if you are documented skilled in differentiated learning, collaborative learning, and/or language and knowledge-developing approaches.

The Employment

• Full-time 100%.
• Permanent employment. A probationary period may be applicable.
• Start date: August 11, 2025
