Sundbyskolan is a F-9 school located in a residential area between Bromma and Solvalla.

The school is continuously growing and offers many interesting opportunities to contribute to its development. Today, the school has about 850 students and we are approximately 100 people working here, including three assistant principals and one principal. At the school, we work according to the vision of Safety, Joy, and the Desire to Learn. We value collegial learning and are convinced that a collaborative approach benefits students' learning. We also know that strong pedagogical leadership, clarity, and frameworks lead to safety and increase study peace for our students.

We are now looking for two special education teachers responsible for lower and middle school!

Your role

You will work directly with students who need support and stimulation, both individually and in groups. You will closely collaborate with a special educator. You will develop the school’s learning environments to be inclusive and accessible and provide support and guidance to the teaching teams. You will also systematically work with the school’s annual cycle for screening and interventions related to screening results. You can independently process the results and analyze them together with the teachers of the grade to adapt the teaching based on the results. You have the ability to create safety and good relationships with students, guardians, and educators. As a special education teacher with us, you will have a varied job where you, together with your colleagues, shape a safe learning environment with the students' best interests in focus. You will report to the assistant principal.

Your qualifications and experience

You have:

• a teaching license and are a qualified special education teacher for grades 1-7 with a specialization in language, writing, and reading development.
• documented work experience as a special education teacher.
• good ability to plan and organize teaching based on each student's individual needs and have a good ability to create a safe learning environment for the students.
• good ability to work closely with others.

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience working in lower and middle school.
• interest and knowledge in mathematics development and supporting students with needs in mathematics.
• experience with digital technology, both for personal use and in teaching.
