About us

Väsby Nya Gymnasium is a municipal high school with approximately 550 students and 40 teachers. The school offers six different programs; the social science program, the economics program, the natural science program, the technology program, the hotel and tourism program, and introductory programs. The school also has an ongoing sports initiative with several sports orientations. We offer NIU in swimming and triathlon as well as LIU in football, hockey, and floorball. The school's premises are open and bright and are located in a building where the high school collaborates with both the culture school, the public library, and other units. The school has a large multi-hall with a gym and dance studio. The student body at VNG is heterogeneous, and the atmosphere is familial where mentors, student health, and school management work closely together.

About the position

As a teacher at VNG, you will be part of a working group and subject group together with experienced and qualified teachers who work to create a good learning environment for the school's approximately 550 students. The position is a permanent full-time employment and may possibly be combined with mentorship.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who has:

• Teaching certification with qualifications in vocational subjects within hotel and tourism
• Experience in teaching at the high school level

As a person, you are structured and confident in your teaching role, being a good role model for your students. You are also solution-oriented and can maintain a good study environment in the classroom. Furthermore, you are relationship-building and can inspire students in your vocational subjects.
