All students have the right to a school that gives them the opportunity to develop based on their own conditions. SPSM operates schools on behalf of the state. We provide students with a learning environment that allows for participation, learning, and development. We offer meaningful, stimulating, and important pedagogical work in our schools.

Hällsboskolan Kungsholmen in Stockholm welcomes students with severe language impairment from grade 2 to grade 10. Our teaching focuses on language and communication. The goal is for students to have the conditions to reach knowledge goals, be involved and active in various social contexts, and develop as individuals. We offer accommodations for students who cannot commute to school every day.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At Hällsboskolan, we work together and in close collaboration in so-called grade teams led by team leaders. We have an interdisciplinary thematic approach that we believe will benefit our students in their knowledge development.

At Hällsboskolan, all teaching is based on the regulations for special schools and the curriculum for basic or special schools. Teaching, environment, and communication are adapted to each student's needs.

As a teacher with us, you will work with pedagogical mapping, documentation, adaptation of the learning environment, follow-up, and evaluation.

The work with us requires close collaboration with students' guardians, colleagues, and other external actors who are important for students' health and development.

You will also have support from special educators, IT educators, counselors, psychologists, school nurses, and speech therapists.

Our vision is: Equitable teaching for all - together we make a difference. We want our students, when they leave Hällsboskolan, to have developed tools and strategies so that they are equipped to take on the challenge of the next step in life.

We are looking for a teacher for the upper grades to teach Swedish/SVA in combination with English or SO subjects. The position includes mentorship.

We are now looking for someone who both wants and can contribute to this journey.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who:

• Has a teaching degree with certification to teach Swedish/SVA, English, or SO for upper or middle school.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have at least two years of experience in teaching.
• Have expertise in NPF.

Your ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish is an important part of students' education.

We place great emphasis on qualities such as personal maturity, integrity, and the ability to contribute to developing an organization in change.

OTHER

A probationary period of 6 months applies.

A criminal record extract must be presented before employment.
