Two to three teachers for after-school care sought for Tegelhagen School

We are now looking for two to three new primary school teachers for our after-school care F-3.

Tegelhagen School is located in a picturesque area in southern Sollentuna. The school has approximately 620 students in grades F-9. Our vision is safety, community, and learning. Our students are motivated to study, and we work with our core values every week to maintain the safe climate that prevails at the school. The school has a developed approach to digital technology. We run our operations in a state-of-the-art new school building, where school and after-school activities collaborate. We have high expectations of our students, who are challenged in their knowledge development in various ways. In addition to digital competence, we place great emphasis on movement, outdoor education, and outdoor life. The school actively works to develop pedagogical practices, and during the last academic year, the after-school care activities have been reorganized to align even more closely with the school's vision of safety, community, and learning. Tegelhagen School is a workplace where employees enjoy working with each other and with the students. Our students are involved in shaping our operations and planning the activities offered. The educators in after-school care collaborate across grade boundaries. The majority of the educators in after-school care are primary school teachers.

The school has a student health team that includes three special teachers, a school nurse, a school psychologist, a counselor, a career advisor, two assistant principals, and a principal, as well as a collaboration with Sollentuna Municipality's school and family team. The school is Olweus certified, which means a structured and continuous preventive anti-bullying work.

Job Responsibilities

As a student in Tegelhagen School's after-school care, one should feel comfortable, safe, and challenged to participate in a diverse activity based on Lgr 22 and the students' wishes. You will work in an after-school care setting and collaborate with the F-3 work team. Together with colleagues, you will develop the operations to be the best for our students. We strive for a working method that is structured, planned, and well anchored in governing documents. During school hours, you collaborate with teachers, and in the afternoon, you work in after-school activities and create a meaningful after-school program for the students together with your work team. Our focus on outdoor education means that you should enjoy working outdoors to thrive at the school. Supervising activities during breaks is a natural part of the job, and we would like you to have previous experience organizing and conducting good break activities.

Qualifications

We are looking for university-educated primary school teachers with a focus on after-school care who want to be involved in and drive the development and take responsibility for our after-school care.

You have the ability to encourage and inspire our students to dare to try new activities and are clear and structured in your leadership. You enjoy collaborating and have a holistic view of the operations. We are looking for someone who wants to help develop the after-school care based on the curriculum, focusing on learning and safety in after-school care.
