Temporary Position as Resource Educator at Rinkebyskolan

Stockholm – our capital city filled with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for someone who wants to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

Welcome to Us

Rinkebyskolan is a municipal school in the city of Stockholm.

We welcome all students in grades 7-9 of compulsory school as well as adapted compulsory school grades F-9. The school is located right next to Rinkeby Center with good transportation options via subway and buses to commuter train stations.

Rinkebyskolan's adapted compulsory school is one of the largest adapted compulsory schools in Stockholm, offering a broad range of expertise. You will be part of a team with diverse skills, where several team members have additional training as special teachers or special educators.

We Offer a Temporary Position as Resource Educator in Rinkebyskolan's Adapted Compulsory School

Your tasks will include supporting students during lessons, breaks, and transitions between different activities. We prefer that you have started studies that can lead to a teaching qualification or special education. Additionally, you should have taught a school subject since your role may involve short-term substitutes within the class when teachers are absent. You should be accustomed to working methodically with communication support and assisting students with diagnoses that may involve challenging behaviors.

Your Skills and Experience

Your tasks require you to be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. You should have experience working in adapted compulsory schools or other settings with students who require various adaptations that promote learning and a safe school day. We work solution-focused in our team and see the student as a resource and asset in the class, working against exclusion and individual teaching. This requires good collaboration skills, tolerance for differences, and a commitment to finding solutions to both short-term and long-term challenges.

The temporary position is at least 60% (and can therefore be combined with, for example, teacher studies or other work) and lasts for the academic year 250811 – 260616 (?) with possible extension.

The city of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's skills and thereby combating discrimination.
