We are looking for an engaged and goal-oriented teacher in English and Mathematics for grades 7-9.

You are a clear and secure leader in the classroom who understands the importance of building relationships with your students. You have high expectations for the students and involve them in planning while developing their ability to learn, both independently and together with others. Your teaching is differentiated to engage both students with difficulties and those who need challenges. You take responsibility for, and have insight into, the students' results to create a stimulating learning environment. You thrive and contribute to the school's development and well-being. Mentorship is included in the position.

Sofia School is a K-9 school with approximately 915 students located in eastern Södermalm in central Stockholm. The school's work is characterized by high ambitions, joy at work, and high results. Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a certified teacher qualified in English and Mathematics, with several years of teaching experience
  • Is a clear leader with the ability to adapt teaching and create good relationships with students
  • Has good classroom leadership and works with goal management, planning, and documentation
  • Has a solution-oriented approach in contact with students, guardians, and colleagues
  • Sees the school as a whole where we all have a shared responsibility for students' development
  • Recognizes the importance of and has the ability to develop effective routines and classroom structures
