Qualified Teacher in Mathematics and History Wanted at Sofielundsskolan

Sofielundsskolan is a school with approximately 610 students from preschool to grade 9.

The school is located in central Sollentuna with good transport links. Our operations are based on a value foundation where the keywords are safety, well-being, and good knowledge. We are now looking for a qualified teacher in Mathematics and History for grades 4-9

If you have also taught other SO subjects, this is particularly interesting for us. It is a requirement that you have prior experience teaching programming, as programming is part of the central content in the mathematics subject.

If you have also taught a practical-aesthetic subject in grades 6-9, we value that and see it as an asset.

Your previous experiences within the school world are important to us, as we see a significant advantage in having tried various roles in the school and after-school care, as this likely gives you a multifaceted view of the students' entire school day.

We want you to be able to present a teaching license for grading up to grade 9 in the aforementioned subjects by the start date.

We will ask you to teach part of your time in a special education group, where your relational skills will be very important in your interactions with the students you meet. We expect you to have good experience in engaging and communicating with guardians, as this will also be part of your duties.

The position is 100%, a temporary contract for the school year 25/26, and is classified as a vacation position.

Qualifications

We would like to see that you:

• have a good understanding of LGR22
• have the desire to develop teaching at our school.
• conduct structured and language-aware teaching.

We want you to be a safe and stable teacher who understands the importance of good relationships and collaboration. In other words, you are a team player and are happy to share with colleagues.

If you are fluent in another language besides Swedish, this is an asset. Preferably in one of the languages that many of our students also have as their mother tongue, such as Turkish or Arabic.

We also consider it an asset if you have prior experience working with Google Classroom and have used the school platform Infomentor in your planning/assessment/communication.
