Bernadottegymnasiet is looking for a substitute teacher in Business Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Social Sciences
Workplace Description
Bernadottegymnasiet is a municipal school that has existed since 1996.
We have about 450 students at the school distributed across the Social Science program with a focus on behavioral science, the Economic program with a focus on law, and a class in the Language Introduction program.
At Bernadottegymnasiet, we combine university preparatory studies with school-wide outdoor activities in line with our profile based on leadership and personal development as well as physical activity, outdoor life, and challenges.
Bernadottegymnasiet is a school where community, collaboration, personal development, and leadership go hand in hand both inside and outside the classroom. We believe that a close relationship with the students – created, for example, during our so-called intensive weeks and sports and outdoor activities – lays the foundation for success in the classroom.
We are now looking for a skilled teacher with qualifications to teach Business Economics, Entrepreneurship, and social science subjects for a substitute position during the academic year 25/26. The position may also include social studies and/or the graduation project in the social science program.
Job Description
You will be responsible for teaching the groups included in the position and act as a mentor. The teaching of English is allocated to both the national programs and the Language Introduction program. Other tasks related to the school's profile as well as active participation in the school's joint activities are also included.
Qualifications and Desirable Experience
We prefer that you have a teaching degree and certification for and experience in teaching at the upper secondary school's university preparatory programs.
You work in a reflective and systematic way, both individually and together with colleagues. You use IT as a natural tool to develop students' learning and work with forward-looking feedback to help students achieve their goals.
You are positive, driven, and engaged. Your focus is on seeing opportunities, and you work methodically where follow-up, evaluation, and analysis permeate your work. We place great importance on the ability to create curiosity and motivation among your students.
You take initiative and are driven in your work. You must also easily collaborate closely with other teachers at the school, with student health, and with school management.
You act as a role model and have a close professional relationship with the students.
We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis and reserve the right for the position to be filled by individuals with priority according to law.
